Best known for its freshest and finest catch of the day, awarded finalists in the 2017 and 2018 Best Seafood Restaurant, and its 270-degree view of the ocean, Sammy's on the Marina in Glenelg is one of South Australia's finest seafood restaurants. 

This fine dining restaurant has a functions, summer, winter and degustation menu. The summer and winter menus are very similar, except for some minor differences which is most likely due to seasonality, and the availability and freshness of certain fish. The most notable difference is that the winter menu consists of several meat options from the grill, whereas the summer menu is predominantly seafood.

The menus include gorgeously presented delicacies such as the Tasmanian Atlantic Salmon, garlic prawns, Coffin Bay oysters, whole lobsters, and a seafood tasting plate, including multiple platters to choose from. Mains average at $40 while platters are about $160 for 2 people. Sides can also be ordered to accompany your meal/platter, such as chips and salads. Smaller portions of seafood are available for children on the Kids Menu while desserts on offer include a white chocolate panna cotta, sorbet, and cookies and cream cheesecake.

What’s most interesting about their menu is that most of their dishes include a wine recommendation that they think is best paired with the dish, chosen from their impressive list of wines.

The restaurant is classy yet fits perfectly with the nautical theme. In the summer, indoor seating as well as outdoor seating is available, perfect for enjoying the afternoon sun while watching the boats on the marina.
