Racing through March

What a busy long weekend it’s been! Thousands headed to the Morphetville Racecourse today to see Muir win the 2011 Adelaide Cup. The weather was perfect, the outfits were stylish and the champagne was certainly flowing!

The festivals have continued in March with the Adelaide Fringe Festival still in full swing. The Fringe finishes on Friday so there’s still some time left to catch a comedy or dance show, or just hang out in the Garden of Unearthly Delights.

The long weekend saw the return of WOMADelaide for its 19th anniversary. The WOMAD - ‘World of Music, Arts & Dance’ festival was co-founded in the UK by Peter Gabriel and was first presented in Australia as  WOMADelaide in 1992. Since then it has gone on to become one of Australia's favourite outdoor festivals.

Starting on Thursday is the Clipsal 500 Adelaide. The Clipsal 500 is a round of the V8 Supercar Championship Series, Australia’s largest domestic motor sport event. With over 250,000 patrons expected to attend the event over the four days, it’s going to be a busy weekend for Adelaide. So, if you haven’t already booked your accommodation for next weekend, my advice would be to book now, before it’s too late!
