Festival Fun in February

The sunny weather continues throughout February as Adelaide goes into festival mode. The Adelaide Fringe Festival started on the 24th of this month and runs all the way through until the 18th of March. With hundreds of different acts from comedy to dance to art displays - there’s something to entertain everyone.

The 2011 SA Caravan and Camping show has been running all week. Around 40,000 people are expected to attend the show this year at the Adelaide Showgrounds, Wayville. The show is one of the biggest shows at the showgrounds, second only to the Royal Adelaide Show in September.

Down on the sand, the annual Glenelg Beach Volleyball Tournament is attracting teams from all over Australia. There are extra courts set up for locals and holidaymakers to have a go and local DJs supplying the summer soundtrack thanks to soundpond.net.

Last weekend Glenelg played host to Tropfest, the world’s largest short film festival. Hundreds of people pulled up a spot on the grass out the front of The Beachouse to view South Australian local films and live band performances.

The Atlantic Tower Motor Inn’s new Premium Spa rooms are nearing completion. We have given a couple of the rooms a trial run and the feedback has been fantastic. Check back next month for more info on these new rooms.
