The Adelaide Fashion Festival and the Adelaide Film Festival, both held in October each year, are highlights of every art-lover in South Australia.

The Adelaide Film Festival, established in 2003, aims to celebrate and explore Australian and international screen culture across an 11-day event. It involves premier screenings, forums and special events, and is recognised internationally as amongst the top 50 festivals in the world, as well as a platform for scouting new talent in Australia. The festival offers two cash rewards, allocated to the very best in filmmaking.

The Adelaide Fashion Festival endeavours to develop the South Australian fashion industry as well as boost international focus through business development missions in major cities around the world. It not only showcases contemporary and relevant fashion created by both established and up-and-coming designers from Adelaide, but also international-standard runway shows, masterclasses and the chance to meet top fashion identities. The festival invites retailers, stylists, designers and fashion and design lovers of South Australia to attend this fabulous 9-day event involving local photography, music, unique hair and makeup styling, and South Australia's iconic food and beverages.
