The World of Music, Arts, and Dance festival, WOMAD, returns for another long weekend (6-9 March) at the Botanic Garden to celebrate cultural and creative diversity.

Having been held every year since 1992, this festival is a vital and unique part of the Australian festival landscape, and it attracts up to 20,000 attendees per day (excluding children 12 and under, who are free).

WOMADelaide hosts around 500 different artists from 30+ countries to perform on various stages across the 34 hectare venue. The Global Village at the venue features over 100 international food and retail stalls, while the Healing Village provides relaxation and remedial services.

As multiple events and festivials are held on this weekend, this is certainly one of the best times to be in Adelaide.
