Casual Spanish restaurant Tasca Viva, located in Moseley Square and only a 5-10 minutes’ walk from the motel, offers a wide range of tapas and raciones.

Tasca Viva is unique thanks to the diversity and variety in the type of Spanish food they serve, contrasting from other fast-food and takeaway types of Spanish restaurants located in Glenelg. Their beautifully presented tapas and raciones (small share plates) are perfect for sharing for two, complemented with a glass of sangria (note - can be strong) or two, for the complete tasting journey!

Going with a group or can't choose? No problem, let the chef handpick some dishes for you. Banquets and platters are available for $45 per person for 4 courses, which includes house made dips and pita bread, 3 tapas, 3 mains or share plates plus a paella, and some churros to finish; and $38 per person for 2 courses, which includes the tapas and share plates only. Otherwise, the tapas and raciones a la carte are quite affordable, averaging at $5 and $18, respectively.

The restaurant itself is nicely decorated with mosaic tiles with colourful geometric designs, wooden tables, and Spanish music playing softly in the background, making you feel like you’re in the heart of Granada. The service is reasonably quick, though the only paella they serve can take up to 45 minutes.

We recommend the paella mixta, pork belly, jerk chicken maryland and sangria.
