Sabai Cafe is an Asian restaurant specialising in Thai dishes. It is situated on Partridge Street in Glenelg South, only a 5 minute drive from the motel and Jetty Road. While it used to trade as a cafe in the mornings, it now only serves dinner from 5pm-8:30pm Wednesdays to Saturdays.

Serving a wide range of Thai dishes, this restaurant is a favourite amongst Glenelg residents. For seafood, they offer sliced barramundi fish, crispy prawns and salt & pepper squid, while curries include massaman, green and red curries, and roasted duck curry. What's more, they also offer a range of choices for soups, stir-fry, entrees and vegetarian dishes. Did we mention that ALL their items are gluten-free (except the curry puffs and spring rolls)? 

Meals are reasonably priced, served promptly with polite and very hospitable staff. Reservations are recommended as indoor seating fills up quickly, even before COVID-19 restrictions were put in place so be sure to call ahead! Otherwise, you may take advantage of their outdoor seating, or simply order takeaway. Sabai Cafe recommends that if the line is busy or goes straight to voicemail, simply hang up and wait a few minutes before trying again, as they are experiencing a high volume of takeaway orders. All the more reason to go and try them out! 

The chef recommends the garlic & pepper pork and the crispy chicken salad.
