This year's City-to-Bay held on 15 September and presented by Sunday Mail, is part of the Athletics Australia Australian Road Running Championships, The fun-runs, run every year, is a not-for-profit cause aimed at raising funds to support Athletics in South Australia.
The City-Bay Fun Runs Committee Inc. has previously sponsored promising athletes to attend the Olympics as well as purchase new equipment for clubs. Apart from the financial benefits of the events, many fitness clubs, rehab organisations, business and indiividuals utilise these fun runs to achieve personal goals.
To attend these fun runs, you don't need to be an athlete; you don't have to run the whole way - or even at all! There are several events - 3km, 6km, 12km and half-marathon runs. The 12km runs starts at the city all the way to the bay, while 3km runs start at the Morphettville Racecourse.
So why not bring a friend, a dog or go on your own and smash some fitness goals? Registrations close this 12 September while a late fee applies to all entries after this until they close at 4pm on 14 September. Register now here: https://city-bay.org.au/!
