Another 2021 Update

Posted by Nicole Catabran on 9 August 2021 | Tags: , , ,

With the introduction of the Delta variant and slow roll-out of vaccinations, COVID-19 is very much still a huge threat to South Australians, especially with our very close, neighbouring states struggling to keep numbers down. We strive to provide excellent short-stay accommodation for those needing to travel for work/medical appointments or to just get a way for a while, while keeping our guests and staff safe.

We are so grateful for everyone's patience and understanding while we have had to undergo some major changes to our business operations. We understand that the way we do things is unique to other accommodation providers, and we appreciate that change can be confronting - but at the end of day we are doing what we can as a small family-operated business to stay afloat during these unprecedented times, while aiming to provide hassle-free and exceptional accommodation.

Please see below for further updates to our business:

Refurbishments

We are experiencing delays in that our remediation provider is having issues in receiving materials for the completion of the balcony refurbishments. This is in turn causing delays to the painting of the exterior of the building.

We have however recently refurbished our foyer and repainted our upper floor rooms, and we are currently in the process of relaying the carpet in our foyer and some 1st floor rooms due to extensive water damage from a private residential apartment.

Reception

While you may not see us face-to-face, we endeavour to maintain the same level of exceptional customer service that we would otherwise have under different circumstances. We are alternating between working on-site and remotely, and as such the reception desk is closed indefinitely.

If you need to contact reception, please ring us at 8294 1011. We are also answering the phones 24/7 - this includes an on-call night manager that is able to provide prompt on-site assistance outside of business hours where needed.

We plan to reopen the desk later this year for limited hours each day, seven days a week.

Checking-In

As the reception office is closed, you will be checking in via our touch-screen kiosk just outside our main entrance. Arriving guests receive a SMS text message on the day of their arrival (after 12pm) with instructions on how to check-in. Upon successfully checking-in, the kiosk will dispense one room key along with a parking permit.

Changes in Services

We have paused room service breakfast indefinitely. Services are provided to longer stay guests (4+ nights or upon request), however extra amenities and linen can be provided any time during business hours, just ring 8294 1011. Check-out time is now 11am everyday.

We are in the process of moving from Foxtel to a different provider, and as such Foxtel is now unavailable.

We apologise in advance for any inconvenience this may cause.

Please also ensure you wear a mask at all times when on our premises. If you need a mask, you may call reception or ask a housekeeper.
