Adelaide Cabaret Festival

Posted by Craig Leverenz on 1 June 2014

Adelaide is home to the largest festival of its type in the world – the Adelaide Cabaret Festival.

Held at the Adelaide Festival Centre, over 48,000 people will attend the two week festival containing over 200 individual cabaret-style shows by over 400 Australian and International performers. The festival begins on the Queen’s birthday long weekend and runs through to the 20th June 2014.

If you love cabaret and are wanting to instil that love in your children or grandchildren, the ‘Something on Saturday’ program includes two great cabaret shows especially for children.

Adelaide Cabaret Festival artist Ali McGregor makes her Something on Saturday debut with JAZZAMATAZZ, an hour of jazzy beats and pop classics performed by her jazz trio and accompanied by two dancers who’ll teach the kids some classic moves. Suitable for 2–10 year olds (and their parents)!

Lullabies will come alive as Jessica Wilson performs Still Awake Still! based on the much-loved songs from the bedtime book I’m Still Awake Still! by Elizabeth Honey and Sue Johnson.
